Happy Father's Day...

Well, Father's day came around and Alex finally got the first of his upper two front teeth! He's had his bottom front teeth for a while but it's taken forever for the top to develop. And then the very next day, the other top tooth broke through! We went to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium for Father's day to celebrate and had a blast! We took Krysta with us because she and I had never been to a zoo and took a ton of pictures even in the rain. Only Washingtonians would sightsee in the rain and think nothing of it. Though we at least took umbrellas so we could all stay dry, especially while holding Alex so he wouldn't get soaked. It didn't rain the whole time thank goodness!

Growing pains...

I can't even believe it's been 7 and a half months since Alex was born. He has his lower two front teeth, and in one week figured out how to crawl properly, pull himself up to his knees, on his feet for the first time today (!), and how to walk forward and back in his little walker! And he learned how to change the channel on the TV tonight as well... I don't know how in the world I am ever going to keep up with him since once he does something just one time, he just wants to keep doing it! He's learning so fast! I'm feeling rather overwhelmed since I'm trying to get all this sewing done before he makes it impossible to pin or sew anything on the floor/couch/table.

And another thing, why do they always have to make children's clothes in China, in chinese sizes? Alex is a pretty normal sized baby in the U.S. but in clothes he's wearing 12-18 month clothes when he's half that age! So you tell me how that makes sense...

A Day at the Park

It was a wonderful day and almost 70 degrees out! We had a lot of fun just walking in the sunshine and Alex fell asleep while we were there.... Oh well, at least he got a nap.

I was just taking a bunch of pictures of him trying desperately to crawl since rolling and scooting just aren't fast enough for him anymore. Jeff was at work at the time so I had to document the experience... The first couple is him trying to get at me and the camara. He kept falling to one side or the other as he was moving forward but he is close!




He's blurry because he was rocking back and forth...
